Attractions

Sperrins Mountains
Free access
The Sperrins range is one of Northern Ireland's most scenic regions. The rugged pattern of mountains, bogland and inland waters is a striking landscape virtually unaffected by the passage of time. The people of the Sperrins for their heritage and culture…even by Irish standards, they are renowned for their special warmth and hospitality.

Glasgowbury Festival '08
Annual Music Festival
Paddy Glasgow's organisational skills continued to grow apace, with nearly fifty bands featuring this year across four stages.
"We had a fantastic time up among the mountains with the rest of you on Saturday for the biggest small festival around!" (Review courtesy of BBC ATL)

Beaghmore Stone Circles
Free access
Discovered during peat cutting in the 1940s the site at Beaghmore consists of 7 stone circles. All of the rings are associated with cairns and a stone row runs towards these cairns. It is possible that Neolithic occupation and cultivation preceded the erection of burial cairns and ceremonial circles and alignments: some irregular lines and heaps of boulders resembling field-fences or field-clearance may pre-date the ritual structures. At some stage peat started to form over the site, and it may conceivably be that the cairns and rows were erected in a futile propitiatory attempt to restore fertility to the soil by attracting back the fading sun.

Banagher Glen
Free access
The magnificent Banagher Lake and Forest can be found three miles west of Dungiven. Spectacular and panoramic views can be enjoyed within this beautiful Glen which is a paradise for ornithology. The Banagher area includes County Londonderry's largest commercial forest and Altnaheglish Reservoir, used for the supply of water to Londonderry and Limavady. This superb attraction is similar to Silent Valley in Co. Down and offers tourists the opportunity to enjoy one of the most impressive facilities in the Province.

An Creagan Visitor Centre
An Creagán Visitor Centre situated at the foothills of the Sperrins. The Centre is distinctively designed to mirror the archaeological sites of the area and gives you the opportunity to step back in time. It also houses an Interpretative Exhibition and offers archaeological, environmental and cultural guided tours of the surrounding area.

Glasgowbury Festival '08
Draperstown rocks again!
The cream of the crop in Irish music converged upon Draperstown last weekend for the biggest and most successful Glasgowbury Music Festival to date and with just under 50 acts spread across four stages, Glasgowbury 2008 firmly secured its place in history.
From the non-stop beautiful weather to the relentless stream of talent pouring from every stage, it would have been impossible to find one bad point in a day so laden with goodness. While 2007 raised the bar in terms of maintaining a full day's entertainment, 2008 jumped it by a comfortable margin with epic stand out performances from bands such as Triggerman, General Fiasco, Fighting With Wire and the memorable, now customary, stand out DJ set from Deep Fried Funk towards the end of the night.

Apparo launch new site
Designed by Green17
Apparo worked with Belfast based design agency, Green17 to design and develop their new website.
"We wanted the quality of the food, accommodation and service at Apparo to come across immediately, so we decided to let Apparo speak for itself by using full-screen, high quality images of the restaurant and rooms.
The site also includes the latest flash technology with booking system and online payment. Search engine optimisation is kept high with content being indexed via a full HTML site running simultaneously in the backround. The site can be updated through our custom built online content management system." (Green17)
